Aims for Production Work
The title of the production work is "City Life" this is because it is the title of the song that is being used in the music video. Also it is going to be the theme of the 3 media products - the music video, the CD cover and the magazine advertisement. The genre of the promo package is going to be acoustic indie this is because it is the genre of the song which is being used and also the magazine in which the album advertisement would appear is an indie magazine similar to NME. The style in which the promo package will be in is post modernism because of the juxtaposition of the slow song with the sport of Parkour. Through the promo package the aim is to represent teenagers in a more positive way and show that the sport of Parkour is a beautiful sport rather than just "trouble making" and "just jumping off of objects" which it is shown be to through other media products and peoples opinions. Cross media will be used to market the new CD through the magazine advertisement and also through the music promo video's song title. This would also make up the marketing plan to attract the target audience of late teens early twenty year olds who are more likely to buy magazines in which the CD would be advertised in. Also the target audience would have knowledge in both the genre of the song aswell as the sport of Parkour. The institution in which would make, market and produce the promo package would be a small independent because they are the ones most likely to make indie music as indie is short for independent.
